Even iPad lost weight & Slimed down.

Its faster then a speeding bullet.
It can leap tall building in a single bound!
It can bend steel with its bare hands (if it had hands)!
It has a logo on it chest (not the 'S').
Visiter from alien planet!
Stands for... truth, justice and the GEEK way!
What is it you ask? (even if you didn't ask).
Ask any GEEK you might know or grab one off the street and ask.
This day should be made a holiday for "GEEKS".
It's the announcement date of the new iPad 2.
I've got to get one! I need one! I want one!

Today I motored over to Starbucks for the 'first cup of the day' and a cheesy bagel/cream cheese. The Chiquita Bananas where a bit to green for me (insert going green joke here). Chatted with one of the baristas who is a gadget geek like me about the announcement of the new iPad 2. After we discussed it he's going to stick with the one he has (iPad uno). Came back to flop place to do more calls on getting scripts sold to production companies. Now its time to get some eats, thinking of an avocado burger.
I'm in good company on slimming down, if iPad can do it, so can I. That's the geek running through me!

Chiquita Banana and I'm here to say--

Getting back to the update; of Old Guy Getting down to porn weight. As you can see by the picture I posted with this blog that I'm paying tribute to Chiquita Banana. Which I have been eating more of lately. I don't know if its something to do with hearing or seeing my grandmother or mother having to take potassium for either high blood pressure or just because they are getting old and their bodies might need more potassium. All I know is that I've been eating more bananas rather than ending up taking some potassium substitute. Oh and that bananas are brain food. Okay you got me, I eat bananas because I need all the brain food I can get. Plus I dig the cool Chiquita logo sticker on the banana ... for some reason I have to peel the sticker off, I can't toss the banana peel with the sticker still on it. Then I do something to drive people crazy... I stick the Chiquita sticker somewhere in plan view, to see if anyone might spot it. Just ask any of the baristas at the local Starbucks I get my cup of java from. Its gotten down to the point, that the baristas at said local Starbucks now (most of the time) de-sticker the Chiquita Bananas before selling them separately. So the next time you're in a Starbucks and you see the Chiquita Bananas being sold separately look around, you might spot a Chiquita Banana logo sticker stuck somewhere you wouldn't expect it.
Getting down to the update part; yesterday I got on my bike, now that it stop raining, pedaled my ass over to local Starbucks for that 'cup of java' & Chiquita Banana. After enjoying my cup I got back on my bike to run errands locally. Getting back to 'going green'. Then back to my flop house to make calls on scripts to Hollywood Production Companies trying to get them sold. Was wanting another cup and a bit hungry. I pedaled back over to Starbucks for a 'second cup of the day' with a cheesy bagel/cream cheese to take the edge off. Later that night it was 3 fish tacos from 'Loco Taco'. A decent Mexican fast food place. As for today I pedaled my ass over to Starbucks, once again 'going green' taking my laptop with me. Got my 'first cup of the day', Chiquita Banana and cheesy bagel/cream cheese. Kicked back with laptop watching hulu (the cape & anime) enjoying my cup of java, banana & bagel. Now for tonight I thing it might be Chinese again, small portion of noodles, chicken and pork. I'm going to try not having any egg rolls. Wish me luck on that.

The original Indigo Blue and you!

Okay about the pic... yup its the Levi Strauss logo, its been around for over a hundred years. The reason it's got the two mules on the leather tag is to show how strong they where made. And yes its true Levi did pull this stunt to show California miners that these are the jeans to buy, strong and built to last. So Levi used the two mules pulling a pair of jeans with the "XX" as the trade mark (truth in branding). Okay so what's the big deal. How many of us can say they been raised with a brand, ever sense I was a kid old enough to wear "jeans" it's been Levis. Its something that's been handed down to me, of all things by my mother, yup, mom. She was raised up in the vineyards & farmlands of Northern California, you guest it she too was raised wearing Levis. It's the one clothing item you don't mind getting hand me downs. The more fade or worn the better they are. When money was tight for her she tried getting the cheaper jeans from JCP or Husky's from Sear but those jeans didn't last, I wore through them to fast, cheaply made, so mom would put me back into Levis. I grew up wearing Levis. When I had to go get some pants because of losing weight I headed to a store that carried original 501s, shrink to fit, button fly Levis. It's been along time sense I worn 501s. Don't get me wrong I was wear Levis but the Old Fat Guy Levis, 550 relaxed fit (means-okay your fat so we'll lie about the size on the waist) or 560 loose fit (means-yeah your fat and these won't make your gut hang to much over the waistband).
There's something about when you get a pair of new 501s and the first thing you got to do is wash them before you can wear them, from stiff ridged cardboard feel to cotton soft comfortable fit. No matter how I try to write this... to me there is nothing like a pair of original 501 shrink to fit button fly Levis.

Todays Rant.

This is what's on going to be the tombstone of America? born 1776 - died 2012. In attendants at the funeral where officials from other countries. In attendents from the family nobody--nobody cared or showed. Does anyone from facebook know or care what's going on in Wisconsin. I'm thinking no--- people think as long as it doesn't interfere with my life, i.e. get comic books sold or published, porn stars do their web cam show for money or strippers getting fans to the strip joints they're stripping at for the night, young guys in an over priced bar they really can't afford trying to score with chicks who are hustling them for free drinks (he thinking he's getting lucky-she knows he's hasn't a chance of fucking her)--Most people think "I don't live there, so who gives a shit". The only ones it effects are people who live in Wisconsin, it's their problem. Well, it's not. The only reason you get any kind of decent wage is because of unions. Companies really don't care about you--the only thing companies care about is how do I cut cost (i.e., wages) and show profit. Oh and yes this goes true for facebook & google, if they begin showing loses, they too will cut wages. Does Wal-Mart ring any bells?

Brain Craving Food

Things that go in the night, like bump or smack or the rumbling of an Old Fat Guy getting down to porn weight. The day went well even though I didn't sleep but write the night away. I was still up at the butt crack of dawn that's when the brain let me know that it was wanting food. A little back story on what I ended up going to get. Since most of the time I'm asleep in what most people call morning hours I don't give into brain cravings. Ah you say what the fuck is that? Well its one thing to crave something that you know will taste good but most of all it will fill an emptiness in your stomach. When it's the brain, you tend to eat things that make you feel a certain way; you make concoction. For me my mind came up with a 'breakfast burrito' not that gringo breakfast burrito but a real Mexican/American breakfast burrito. what's in it: machaca (egg & shredded beef), but I added a twist to it. My brain craved for machaca with chorizo add in some cheese & guacamole. Reads kind of what the fuck are you thinking or 'are you pregnut'? But it does taste good. After I feed my brain it was crash time. By the time I got up it was the 'cleavage of night'. Still feeling full from breakfast burrito I headed out to local Starbucks to get that 'first cup of the day' with a banana I don't remember eating. I took it on the fly. Back at the flop house I enjoyed my cup of java while watching some TV, did a bit of writing not on script but twitter and facebook, yeah that'll get the script done. Then it hit again, the brain crave. This time it was for of all things 'Jack In The Box', like a junky jonesing for cheap 'crack', or  a college student wondering how to get eats without going broke. My brain was wanting double bacon cheese burger but on sour dough. I heard myself ordering two of them. Like most junkies when I got my score I didn't check the junk. What I got was double bacon cheese burger but no sour dough. Say the lease my brain was not very pleased but ate it any how. Feeling disappointment and not very satisfied the two rocks that I ate made me sleep plus the lack of sleep within the 24 hours. I did what any good food junky would do, fall asleep. As for this pin up well I wish they still had car hops. I know this was have kept A&W Root beer going if their carhops look like this.

Abuelita style cooking or this is how my grandmother made it!

Getting right into it, last night I was wanting some home style cooking of real Mexican food. Not fast food 'Taco Bell' shit (no true Mexican/American can call TB real food, the taco meat is classified as a meat by-product. better known as mystery meat). I talking Mexican food made with stuff that my grandmother or better know as abuelita would have used. I was wanting SOPA DE FIDEO, a real Mexican dish made differently depending on what part of Mexico your family comes from. Me or my Abuelita would make it in a skillet, you brown the 'angel hair noodles better known as FIDEO, pinch or touch of garlic, she would use recycled bacon grease, (I'm not joking), when browned you add stewed tomatoes, juice and all and about 3/4 of the can of water toss in some sliced onion, dash of salt (for taste) pepper, then you let it simmer under a lid, either until you have a well bended soup (sopa) or until the moisture is gone. No do not stir. Only stir once or so when its mostly fluid, If you let it steam out don't stir. Low heat. This is great stuff- to me better than Mexican rice (white man's term) Mexican call for arroz or sopa de arroz. The other item I had was nachos con charizo. The place I got this home style cooking is a local place here in Covina called 'Casa Moreno'. Oh the margaritas rock.
For today after sleeping in really late I got up and pushed myself out the door to the local Starbucks for that 'first cup of the day', banana, and cheesy bagel/ cream cheese. Feel full night now but I'm so turned around I'll probably get hungry around mid-night. Got to turn myself around. So for this post I'm using the vintage pin up of a Matador, I wouldn't mind being the toro for a hot MILF. Toro toro!

Wonder if President Washington crave french fries?

President's day! Bah! Anyone who went to grade school knows it Washington's Birthday... you know, the one they 'tag' (get the twitter/facebook term) father of our country or the first president! What the fuck is going on here? Why do we have to consolidate our holidays? Pretty soon it's going to be Halloween-Thanksgiving-Christmas all rolled into one. Why are we so willing to give up Holidays (better know as days off from work most of the time with pay if you're smart enough to have a union job). Why are we willing to work for less money, more time, less vacation & holiday time off and lead to believe we are the bad guys for wanting to be treated equally or with respect.
Now on to Old Fat Guy getting down to porn weight: Yesterday was about the same as any other day, Starbucks for that 'first cup of the day' banana they where out of cheese bagels. Come back home to do more writing on script I'm working on. Then got the craving for something salty... which can be more damning than craving sweets. I was giving into getting french fries-I mean the large more than you can or should eat deep fried potato. I was going over the topping, like chile cheese or animal style (anyone who's been to In-n-Out knows what that is-its melted cheese with grilled onion & thousand island) or bacon bits & cheese with sour cream (Island's grill style) I better stop there before I run out the door to get some. I settled for nachos the second most dangerous deep fried thing to get, yeah real corn tortillas replacing potatoes. I over did it having the nachos with cheese, sour cream, carda asada, guacamole. Eat till I was over stuffed. I mean uncomfortably stuffed, not hungry the next day stuffed. Today I lounged around then headed to local Starbucks for a 'cup of java' & cheesy bagel/cream cheese which made me feel stuffed again. Must fight salty craving and win next time, maybe next time a salty bag of popcorn--- and a MOVIE.
I think I might have used this vintage pin up before, but it fits Washington's birthday!
